Poems

Ter

Terrence Mark Fitzsimmons 1962-1985

The boy who drew apples for eyes
& ess's for noses
the drummer boy - who loved snow play
and hard work all day or night...
wishes me peace before riding off
with his geek-2 brother on the mo-cycle.

He didn't like to stay in,
nor in one place for too long
and so he moved on to a better way...
The band up in heaven
they play his favorite songs
...I get crazy when your eyes touch mine
or Roundabout - with "Pops" on the horn
- Jones helpin' out on the drum kit
- and Ter-a-boom on the first set!

He is that boy who wishes you peace
with the apples of his eyes and the essence
of his nose and serene smile breaking your
frown in two...until you grin with him,
sit back - and chew the toothpick

(to my self-doubt)

Diminuitive;

Visually reduced beneath

Heaven's joyous God

Nebulized, atomic quanta

Wax Kepler's mechanical time
