About me - (re-writing this soon - probably more than you wanted to know!)
Many moons ago you may have known me by a different last name, the fine family name of Fitzsimmons. I changed my last name to Wind because 1. it is shorter and easier to spell (I also shortened my legal first name from Timothy to Tim); 2. it is another fine family name (my Mother's); and 3. I think I more closely resemble my Mother's side (inventor, candy maker, musical, Hungarian persistence) than my Father's (organized, kind-hearted, Irish humor). I have many fond memories as a Fitzsimmons, and I am not a different person because my name has changed, but I am a different person because I choose to be who I am. For most of my life as a Fitzsimmons, I tried to fit in to the norm, usually with little success. This is not to say that I didn't learn well how to pretend to be normal.
I suppose it was one fine evening in 1981 at the little school of St. Joseph's college, nestled in the hills of Los Altos, CA that I first decided to be who I am rather than pretend. I climbed the pipes and hung by my knees while my buddies and classmates had a cow, or laughed at the sight. Later, serving as the dish washin' man at the kitchen of St. Thomas Theological seminary, I started to speak Japanese, or what little I picked up from the movie GO!, and use my squeegee as a samurai sword! Perhaps I was not 'cut out' to be a priest of the Roman Catholic variety. I must have freaked out some faculty since I didn't last through the year there. Of course there was my appeal of a failing grade which made history as the first appeal ever there, of any grade, that may have turned faculty against me, but that's academic (if you will pardon the pun)! Perhaps there will be more to follow, but not for now. For now, we'll just say, to make a long story short, after many zigs and zags (skipping forward) through life I now find myself blessed with a great family, beautiful wife and 2 awesome daughters - Josie and Meara!
I'm not sure how accurate or useful this test is, let me know if you choose to take it (20 questions) and what you think it says about you - or me.
My Inner Hero - Wizard
Perhaps more useful is the Myers-Briggs test, based on Carl G. Jung's work...This one is also 20 questions, here with the corresponding Harry Potter characters

Recently I compiled yearly entries regarding me from the family Christmas letters, which resulted in an illuminating, although somewhat general history of my life...I've been reserved/quiet/shy since I was very small if what my father wrote is accurate. Dad tried to figure us kids out, what made us tick, who we were, in a sympathetic way. I loved him dearly, he is gone but not forgotten.
